Givers Care Foundation (GCF) is a non-for-profit Non-Governmental Organization, (NGO) founded in February, 2012. GCF started by focusing on basic education support and sexual reproductive health and rights education carried out through public education, community and youth development and volunteerism in less privileged communities. Throughout the years GCF has developed into a force in the Water and Sanitation Sector, working assiduously to create awareness on best practices in Water and Sanitation. GCF is made up of a team of strongly motivated young people with diverse professional background, who are working together to achieve the organization’s vision.
GCF seeks to work hand in hand with the target groups and other stakeholders in finding some long-term solutions to the challenges identified in our scope of work.

Our Mission

We are committed to ensuring that the youth and less privileged in communities are well equipped with the requisite knowledge, skills and materials in areas of basic education, water and sanitation help defeat poverty and social exclusion, through community service, volunteerism and public education.

Our Goals

  • To increase literacy rate in rural communities.
  • To empower people to people especially children with the knowledge and skills to adopt best practices in water and sanitation.
  • To reduce the occurrence of water related diseases and deaths.

Our Objectives

The foundation shall:

  • Take initiatives that fight against poverty and social exclusion by provision of basic materials for needy rural basic schools in Ghana.
  • Empower pupils and students to overcome their challenges and fears, in order to maximize their academic output.
  • Create awareness on water and sanitation among rural communities.
  • Provide public health support to rural communities.

Management Team

Mr. Jacob K. Amengor

Executive Director


Jacob Kwasi Amengor read BSc. Water and Sanitation at University of Cape Coast and has a certificate in Basic First Aid from the Red Cross Society of Ghana. He has served in many leadership capacities at all stage in his life. He was president of the Evangelical Presbyterian Students’ Union, UCC from 2011 to 2014 and the Chairman of the Planning Committee of Champions’ Conference, a biennial conference of the Protestant & Pentecostal Chaplaincy Council of UCC. Jacob also served as the Secretary for the Water & Sanitation Students association of Ghana from 2012 to 2014 and the Publicity Secretary of the Oguaa Hall Christian Fellowship of UCC. Jacob is currently working with the Ghana Water Company Limited and Monex Palm Oil Extraction Factory in Kumasi. He is also the National Treasurer of the Evangelical Presbyterian Students’ Union, Ghana. Jacob has worked on specific tasks and in large teams and have acquired people management and leadership skills. Jacob has proficiency in Information Technology and does not compromise on standards and ethics. He has a special passion for youth development, community service and volunteerism, public education, community development and social entrepreneurship, and capacity building. At his leisure, Jacob likes to read, write, travel and do creative thinking and research.

Mr. Edward S. Sarku

Administrative Director


Edward Senyo Sarku holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (Business Management) from the University of Cape Coast and a Professional Certificate in Community Development and Cross Cultural Relations. Edward in his life time has always believed in the theory of Giving Back to Society, and this has giving him the opportunity to travel around different regions in the country and across the Globe. In his quest to serve mankind and develop his leadership skills he held different positions both at church and at the students front of University of cape coast. He is currently practicing as a Marketing Executive and Management Accountant in a reputable international organization. Edward takes delight in Listening to International and Local news and love to study his Bible and pray. He is very Passionate about Community Development and Voluntary Services.

Ms. Emmanuella Kwamee

Communications Director


Emmanuella Kwamee holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications with specialization in Broadcasting Journalism. She leads in the development of the organization’s strategic communication and publicity plans. As a journalist, she is driven by issues that affect the development of our society. Good governance, human rights and more. She lives with the three Es – Enthusiasm, Energy and Empathy, in her quest to achieve success in whatever she does.

Mr. Seyram Senoo

Programs Director


Eric Seyram Senoo is responsible for planning and managing the income and expenditure of the foundation. He brings to GCF his experience in financial administration, donor fund management, project management, youth development and capacity building. He has worked with organizations such as International Citizen Service, Latitude Global Volunteering, Ghana, Youth Net International and Latitude ICS Ghana Alumni (LIGA) where he has help in community and youth empowerment, research, sustainable livelihood and active global citizenship. Eric hold a Bachelor degree in Management Studies from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana and a student member of the Chartered Institute of Accountants, Ghana. He is an entrepreneur and has special interest in leadership and youth development.
